What you can see
sand, silt, turbidity
A well drags solids along, especially after rain or when the pump is working close to the bottom. They are removed with a sediment pre-filter, which is also what allows everything downstream to work at all.
泡 noa byaccuor · well water
A well can give you better water than the mains. The difference is that nobody tests it for you, nobody disinfects it and nobody tells you when it changes. NOA Pozo puts those three things where the water enters the house.
What a well carries is not one single thing, which is why one single device does not deal with it. There is what you can see, what is dissolved and what is alive. Each layer is treated with a technology that is useless against the other two.

nitrates, arsenic, PFAS, limescale
You cannot see it, it has no smell and it does not change the taste. Each substance needs its own NOA cartridge, identified by colour: the nitrate one does nothing for arsenic, and neither of them disinfects.
bacteria, viruses
This is what turns a well into a real risk, and this is what ultraviolet treats: without adding anything to the water, without changing the taste and without leaving a residue.
Plainly, because this is the most expensive confusion in the field: ultraviolet does not remove nitrates, and a nitrate filter does not disinfect. Anyone offering only one of the two is solving a third of the problem — and in a well in farming country, nitrates and microbiological contamination usually come together.
the order of treatment
Light needs clear water to do its job. A particle in suspension casts a shadow, and the microorganism travelling behind it can get through without receiving the dose. That is why sediment comes out first: ultraviolet fitted before the filters costs the same and does not work.
where each part goes
Well treatment works at the main inlet, on the whole plumbing system. And there is a second point, much smaller, in the kitchen: right before the system that designs the water you drink. They are two scales of the same treatment, and each has its own connection size.
The large one disinfects everything entering the house: shower, washing machine, irrigation, taps. The small one treats only the kitchen water, and it is there for a specific reason — between the main valve and the tap there are metres of pipe, elbows and sometimes a tank, and in a branch that goes days without being used the water can pick up a load again. The second unit is the last barrier right before drinking, and right before entering the accuor system.
And there is a practical advantage in how it ends up installed: under the sink everything shares the same connection standard — the cartridge and the small ultraviolet unit use the same size, tubing and fittings. A tidier installation, and a shorter box of spares.
Flow rate is the figure that chooses the equipment, and it is the one most often guessed at. A farmhouse with irrigation, several showers and a pool does not have the same peak flow as a house with two bathrooms, even if they measure the same.
installation and maintenance
It is not a formality or a sales gift: it is what tells you what that well carries and in what amount. Without that figure you cannot choose the cartridge or size the ultraviolet unit, and any equipment is a bet.
The assembly goes next to the main valve, in the order shown in the diagram. A technician installs it and commissions it, checking flow and pressure before leaving it running.
An ultraviolet lamp lasts around 9,000 hours, a little over a year running continuously. It does not burn out when it is spent: it loses disinfection capacity while still giving light, which is why the unit has to warn you.
Cartridge life depends on what it has to hold back. The first change gives the real benchmark for that home, and from then on the schedule stops being an estimate.
A lamp that is still lit does not mean it is still disinfecting. That is the silent failure of this technology, and it is why we always recommend the control panel with an alarm and irradiance measurement: a unit that does not warn you stops protecting without anybody noticing.
how it fits with byaccuor
NOA always works where the water enters the house, and now on two different problems depending on where that water comes from. The accuor system works afterwards, at the point of use. A farmhouse on a well usually needs all three.
Makes the water usable
Sediment, what is dissolved and what is alive. It works at the main inlet when the water does not come from the mains.
Protects the whole house
Limescale, without salt and without brine. Also at the main inlet — and a well usually brings hard water as well.
Designs the water you drink
At the point of use: water for drinking and cooking, with byaccuor's water menu and its own remineralisation.
what we can say and what we cannot
We would rather say it beforehand than afterwards, because with well water the difference between a promise and a fact is paid for by whoever drinks it.
A correctly sized system treats what the water test found, in the amounts it found. “Drinking water” is a legal declaration, not a feature of a device: it depends on the test, on what the water is used for and on the rules that apply to that home. We tell you what each unit treats, up to what limit, and what is left out. If your well needs something we do not cover, we will tell you that too.

Tell us where the house is, how deep the well is and how many water points the house has. With that and a water test we will tell you what is needed — and what is not, which is usually half of it.
