conscious hydration · free

How much water today. Today, not in general.

Two litres a day is an average that helps no one. The app combines your city's real heat with your weight and your working day, and tells you how much water you need, this Wednesday.

Free, no account and no ads.

It asks for no registration, sells no data and you don't need a byaccuor device to use it. It's our way of giving something back to whoever takes water seriously, and of getting the idea of conscious hydration to people who don't know us yet.

The real heatIt reads the temperature and humidity where you are, not an annual average
Your working daySomeone in an office doesn't drink the same as someone in a warehouse or on site
The reminderPrompts spread through the day, not an alarm every hour
Which waterIf you have an accuor device, it tells you which of your three the moment calls for
Your historyWhat you drank this week, on your phone and only on your phone

why it exists

The average hydrates no one.

The usual recommendation —between 2 and 2.5 litres a day for men, between 1.5 and 2 for women— is a statistical mean. It doesn't know whether it's 34 degrees in your city today or whether you've spent eight hours in a warehouse. It doesn't know how much you weigh or what you've done.

The app invents nothing: it combines data that already exists —your weight, your type of working day and the weather where you are— and turns that useless average into a figure that actually works for today. It's the same idea behind the water menu: what works for everyone works for no one in particular.
